//3 tips to fight cravings//

So you have decided to change your lifestyle and the foods you eat… CONGRATULATIONS!! That is the first step.  Soon the cravings will hit.  Don’t worry they will definitely go away if you push through the first two weeks!  You have to remember that your body craves whatever you have consistently been feeding it.  When you first switch your foods you will absolutely go through withdrawals.  Here are my three tricks to kicking those cravings to the curb.

  1. WATER-  Drinking water all day will trick your body into thinking it is full.  Track your daily water intake, and try drinking a big glass of water before your meals.
  2. VEGGIES-  Green veggies are high in nutrients and low in calories.  Fill up on things like: spinach(my personal favorite), broccoli, asparagus, celery, cucumber, etc.
  3. COMBINE 1&2-  Nothing prevents cravings and over eating better than combining veggies and water.  Before every meal drink a big glass of water, and eat a whole bowl of veggies.  I admit that I force myself to some veggies, but am always grateful they make me full without ruining my diet.  They are my secret weapon to keeping a six-pack!

If you are having a craving try drinking my hunger blasting smoothie from my meal plan:

1 c. spinach (did you know that a cup of spinach is 7 calories???)

1/2 banana


Blend and drink before meals and cravings.  It doesn’t have a ton of flavor, but will fill you up and prevent hunger from taking over.
